because the cleaner the shop the happier you are and it is important to keep the teacher happy. and it is safer to have a nice clean shop so you are not tripping and falling!
It is important to keep the shop clean because when the inspector guy comes he will see how good of a job we do keeping the shop clean. It is also very important to show up to class on time so you are able to clean at the end of the class period. Also it is important to show up on time so you don't have to make excuses to tell Mr. Kraus why you were late or why you were trying to sneak in the back way. (even though they are always true)
